Sometimes, our emotions overwhelm us; or we can be disconnected
from our feelings and from the people around us. It’s not uncommon to feel stuck, repeating patterns of behaviour that don’t seem to be good for us or for our relationships. Psychodynamic counselling offers a unique space where we can explore our emotional experience. This work can lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, and of how our pasts might be impacting us in the present.
Some things can feel too big to face alone. Psychodynamic work centres the therapeutic relationship as a key driver of meaningful change. I offer a safe, calm, non-judgemental environment where you can share your feelings and experiences at your own pace, and begin to think about them in new ways.

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor
and a registered Counsellor Member of COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland: Membership Number 5650). I completed my MA Psychology at the University of Glasgow, and my Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling at The Garnethill Centre. I work to COSCA’s Code of Ethics, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation.
I have worked with people looking for help with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. As an inclusive counsellor, I have a solid understanding of issues facing various marginalised groups, including people of diverse genders and sexualities.
Sessions are in person, weekly, last 50 minutes and cost £50. I currently have availability on Tuesday evenings at my therapy room in Shawlands.
Please feel free to get in touch if you’re ready to arrange a session, or even if you’d just like to know more.

Making the decision to start counselling might feel difficult or scary. I offer a free, initial half-hour meeting to help you decide if you’d like to begin working with me.
